Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant seeking for flexible work within the West Essex area?
We are currently recruiting for Healthcare Assistants to join our bank pool to cover bank shifts at 4 of our wards in West Essex. Please note this is not for the wider organisation at this time.
These wards are based at St Margaret's Hospital, Epping, CM16 6TN
Poplar, Plane, Beech and Avocet Ward.
The successful applicant will be a keen and enthusiastic person, ideally with experience working in the caring profession. We are looking for someone who is motivated and able to work within a team as well as independently. As part of this role you will be required to be willing to develop your knowledge and skills through a variety of training.
Main duties of the job
- Undertaking assigned tasks that involve direct patient care in the mental health community settings.
- Act in a manner that protects and maintains the patient’s sense of dignity, personal relationships and social contact, while respecting the individual’s religious beliefs and cultural practices.
- Lifting and moving of patients when required – in lines with the Trust’s manual handling policy.
- Taking and recording of blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining the health and safety of patients.

As a newly appointed employee, you are responsible for incurring the cost of your initial DBS check relevant to your post; the amount will be deducted from your first salary with the Trust.
