Outpatient Physiotherapist | Bank | Norwich | Great Working Environment | Ad-Hoc Shifts

Spire Norwich Hospital is seeking an Outpatient Physiotherapist to become part of our welcoming and supportive team on our bank. We require a suitable candidate to assist with our evening clinics, which typically run from 4pmto 8pm on weekdays, with the possibility of some Saturday shifts. Additionally, there may be opportunities for daytime shifts based on demand.

Towards the end of last year Spire opened the Ella May Barnes Clinic. Located within Norwich Research Park, the new clinic offers a dedicated eye centre, outpatient physiotherapy unit and gym, as well as neurology, cardiology, psychology, respiratory, diabetes, endocrinology, pain medicine, colorectal and private GP services. The specialist facility will provide capacity for over 1,000 outpatient appointments per week, for both NHS and private patients.

The Hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures, you will support in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, assisting in the delivery of care to meet the patient’s needs. You will actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, collect collate and organise data, interpret all of the information and make a justifiable assessment, making this available to relevant others.

As a bank Outpatient Physiotherapist, your role will involve performing individual assessments and overseeing a diverse range of patient cases. You will have the opportunity to dedicate sufficient time to each patient, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • The position entails providing a high standard of assessment and treatment for our outpatient department.
  • You will manage a varied outpatient caseload
  • To hold own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for interactions with patients, consultants, and colleagues,
  • Effective time management and problem-solving abilities.

Who We're Looking For

  • BSc Hons or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Outpatient Physio experience within MSK and orthopaedics is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to develop good working relationships.
  • Demonstrate solid clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice.
  • To be computer literate with excellent organisational and time management skills and an acute attention to detail
