Our clinic is currently seeking a highly motivated, skilled, enthusiastic bank radiology assistant to join our multidisciplinary team.

We would expect the successful candidate to demonstrate excellent communication skills and a patient centred approach contributing to the efficient and smooth running of the clinic. Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment or within the service industry is desirable. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a caring, patient focused growing clinic and is an excellent opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge.

Main duties if the job

To prepare patients for their examinations.

To assist with the running of the clinic.

To assist radiologists with interventional procedures.

Providing aftercare and assistance to patients.

• Ability to work with Consultants and Sonographers in a clinical environment.
• Experience working in a hospital / medical environment is desirable.

What are the Responsibilities of the Radiography Assistant role?

• To prepare patients for a range of ultrasound examinations explaining procedures etc.
• Duties to include - ensuring rooms are prepared for examinations/procedures; patient preparation for scanning; equipment set-up and cleaning; stock control within ultrasound.
• Chaperoning a full range of ultrasound examination and procedures.
• Assisting Consultant Radiologists with biopsies, FNAs and other interventional procedures under Ultrasound control.
• Providing aftercare and assistance to patients following ultrasound procedures.
