As a Bank Recovery Practitioner you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to patients following surgery, ensuring a safe and effective post-anaesthetic recovery. The post holder will support the Band 6 and Band 7 team in the day-to-day running of the Recovery unit and may be required to deputise in their absence when appropriate.
Bank staff will also have the opportunity to work across a variety of operating theatres within the Trust once the required competencies have been achieved. A range of flexible bank shifts is available to accommodate differing availability and work-life balance.
The Recovery Practitioner supports high standards of clinical excellence by assisting in the organisation of the Recovery area, delivering high-quality nursing care, and working collaboratively with the wider team to meet patient and family needs. They are accountable for assessing, planning and evaluating care, ensuring safe discharge practices, maintaining accurate documentation, and promoting a safe environment.
