Banking Senior Legal Counsel - In House

We're looking for a Banking Senior Legal Counsel to join our client, a British financial institution, to support them for at least 6 months.

You'll be joining the team at an exciting time whilst the business is growing and set to be busy with a push on product launch and development.

You'll be working on the legal aspects of product launching, ensuing all requirements are met to ensure smooth market entry. You'll also work on the contract negotiations involved in acquiring products, while providing legal support and guidance to the SME banking function to help navigate complex transactions and mitigate potential risks.

Ideally you will be a mid to senior level banking lawyer with previous experience from a similar in house background. You'll need to effectively manage the legal requirements of product launching and acquisitions. You will also need negotiation skills and a deep understanding of SME banking to provide strategic legal guidance and mitigate risks in complex financial transactions.

This role will be full time with one day in the office in London, although we will also consider other office locations in the UK. It is expected to start as soon as possible and to run for at least 6 months.
