Key Responsibilities:
- Market & Customer Acquisition: Proactively identify, target, and acquire new residential customers through diverse channels including outbound calls, video consultations, field sales activities (door-to-door, local events), and participation in roadshows/demonstrations. Build and manage a robust sales pipeline.
- Sales Team Development: Play a key role in building, onboarding, training, and mentoring both internal sales staff and external partner/agent networks to achieve collective sales targets and maintain high performance standards.
- Marketing & Promotion Support: Contribute to the design and development of effective sales scripts, promotional materials (brochures, flyers, presentations), marketing campaigns, and advertising strategies with the Marketing Team together. Provide field insights to optimize marketing efforts.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify and capitalize on key marketing and sales opportunities at relevant events such as trade shows (e.g., Ideal Home Show), property development launches, local council events, community fairs, and industry exhibitions.
- Internal Coordination & Order Fulfilment: Collaborate closely with internal teams (Operations, Technical, Project Management, Customer Service) to ensure seamless order processing, technical assessments, smooth installation scheduling, and on-time project delivery for customers.
- Customer Service & Issue Resolution: Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries post-sale. Proactively manage and resolve customer concerns, service requests, and complaints efficiently and professionally, ensuring high customer retention and satisfaction.
- Cross-Cultural Communication & Partnership Support: Facilitate clear communication by providing language translation support (if applicable) within the team and with customers. Assist in building and maintaining relationships with local partners, community groups, and relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Proven track record in B2C sales, preferably within the renewable energy (solar PV highly desirable), home improvement, or technology sectors. Experience in field sales and lead generation is essential. Experience in team training/mentoring is highly advantageous.
- Sales Skills: Exceptional consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills. Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Marketing Aptitude: Strong understanding of marketing principles. Ability to contribute effectively to sales collateral design, campaign messaging, and promotional strategy development.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to explain technical concepts simply and persuasively to homeowners. Active listening skills are crucial. Proficiency in additional languages relevant to UK communities is a significant plus.
- Customer Focus: Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Proven ability to handle complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Organizational & Collaborative Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Initiative & Drive: Highly self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong interest in and ability to quickly learn solar PV technology, financing options (e.g., loans, PPAs), and UK energy regulations/subsidies (like the Smart Export Guarantee - SEG).
- Mobility: Full UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory for field sales and events.
- Right to Work: Must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Formal qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business or a related field.
- Direct experience selling residential solar PV or/and energy storage systems or solutions in the UK market.
- Established network within the UK renewable energy or home improvement sector.
- Experience with digital marketing tools and lead generation platforms.
