About the role:
We are seeking an experienced BD Sector Manager to join our innovative Business Development & Marketing (BDM) team, focusing on the dynamic Mobility sector-including automotive, electric vehicles (EVs), transport, charging infrastructure, batteries, gigafactories, space, satellites, and related services.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering Linklaters' Clients & Sectors strategy by working hand in hand with Sector Leaders. Your goal will be to craft and drive a forward-looking sector strategy that aligns with firm-wide priorities, captures growth opportunities, and advances profitable revenue through cross-selling and proactive client engagement.

Your key responsibilities:

• Support Sector Leaders in developing and executing a focused Mobility sector strategy in line with our global priorities.
• Review and refine the sector's client portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment and responsiveness to sector trends.
• Set and monitor targets and key performance indicators to measure BD effectiveness and strategy impact.
• Manage and deliver sector-specific BD and client-targeting initiatives, focusing on high-potential clients and opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with BDM teams to deliver compelling go-to-market campaigns and pitch submissions.
• Provide data-led insights for opportunity spotting, horizon scanning, and pipeline management.
• Analyse market and sector trends, generate cross-selling opportunities, and ensure best practice sharing across teams.
• Build strong relationships and facilitate effective collaboration between Sector Leaders, Relationship Partners, and other teams.
• Coordinate with related sectors to deliver a seamless, client-centric targeting approach.

What we're looking for:

• Manager-level experience in a sector BD role (legal or professional services preferred).
• Strong background in the Mobility sector: automotive, transport, or space.
• Proven success in sector-driven BD and cross-selling, with experience developing strategies that drive revenue growth.
• Ability to navigate complex environments and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
• Highly skilled in data analysis and using insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Confident with client-facing work and committed to building strong, trusted relationships.
• Degree in marketing, business, or a related field (advanced qualifications desirable).

This role is based at the Linklaters London office with a hybrid working model available.
