Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Behavior Analyst / PBS (Positive Behavior Support) Practitioner based in community across England, with the flexibility to work from home on specific occasions.
The PBS Practitioner / Behaviour Analyst is responsible for managing a caseload of complex clients, delivering assessments and interventions that lead to positive changes for the individual, their families, and wider support networks. This will require flexibility in approach and delivery across a variety of settings—including schools, hospitals, community environments, and supported living services. The role demands a solution-focused, values-led mindset with the resilience to navigate complex situations. To be successful in this role, employees will:

* Communicate calmly and effectively in situations which may be emotionally or physically challenging.
* Collaboratively engage a client and their network in the process of our support and identify quality of life goals.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to remove barriers that impact an individual’s quality of life.
* Undertake functional behaviour assessments (FBA) and / or practical functional assessments to develop formulations for clients.
* Write high-quality FBA reports and present findings to clients, their families / carers and network.
* Plan interventions based on FBA report findings.
* Apply behaviour analytic and PBS principles and technologies to develop effective, function-based interventions and behaviour support plans (BSP).
* Collect data and analyse progress towards identified goals.
* Train mediators in interventions outlined in the client’s BSP.
* Deliver internal and external training on a range of clinical best-practice topics.
* Inspire networks to actively commit to client support.
* Hold accountability for ensuring clients and mediators are aligned with the agreed intervention plan, devising solutions to any barriers.
* Follow all policy and procedures in relation to safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management.
* Maintain the highest standards of record keeping including electronic data entry and recording through professional self-governance in accordance with professional codes of practice, data security requirements and GDPR principles.
* Hold up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies, and issues in relation to both the specific client group, Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support.
About you
Qualifications
* PBS Practitioner with Masters in Positive Behaviour Support or accredited qualification (BTEC Level 5 in PBS) or a BCBA / UK-SBA cert. Behaviour Analyst
* Registered with UK-SBA as a practicing member or eligible to be.
Experience
* Working with children, young people and / or adults with learning disabilities, autism, and / or mental health difficulties.
* Managing own caseload of clients with complex needs.
* Conducting FBAs and developing function based BSPs.
* Planning and implementing evidence-based programmes to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
* Developing, implementing, and overseeing data collection systems to monitor client progress towards their goals.
* Training others in behaviour support techniques.
* Report writing and sharing with key stakeholders (e.g., client, mediators, and network).
