Introduction
We are looking for a resourceful, efficient and dedicated team player to join the Client Property and Money Management Team. If successful, you will be part of a team providing specialist services to some of the most vulnerable people receiving care services from the Council.
You will be required to demonstrate your suitability for the position by responding to the requirements of the Job Description and Specifications. For example, you will need to show experience of producing and analysing financial management information, ensure meticulous financial record keeping within client files and ICT systems and have a high level of welfare benefit knowledge.
What’s the role?
You will be responsible for managing and accounting for the financial well-being of those persons who lack the capacity to manage their own financial affairs. You will be responsible for referring to the Court of Protection, The Office of the Public Guardian as well as the DWP to apply for and maintain DWP incomes and other financial liabilities. You will also be responsible for property management and sales where appropriate.

What We’re Looking For
You will need to be able to demonstrate a keen eye for detail, manage a complex and fast-paced workload as well as having great people skills and experience of supporting and working alongside a diverse range of people. You will be expected to conduct outdoor work when required. The work area is target and need driven and you will be expected to manage your caseload within challenging and time-factored deadlines.
Location
The job is primarily based in Laurence House Catford SE6 4RU, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis once you are able to work independently.

Salary
£39,150 - £40,344 per annum (SO1)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
