Bid Manager

We have a great new opportunity for a Bid Manager. The role involves supporting the business in managing and developing a response to customer’s invitations to tender. The focus of the role is to manage the response process and engage with all parts of the business to ensure a professional, compliant and compelling proposal is submitted. You will be project managing the response, engaging with the sales leads to understand the customer’s requirements, managing / working with the pricing lead, engaging with technical and operational resources to design the correct solution and ensuring the bid is properly resourced.

What you will be doing:

Provide bid management to the sales leads for complex bids.

Manage and develop staff.

Engage and project manage pricing lead.

Writing quality and compliant responses to tender specification.

Undertake development tasks within the team.

Managing and contributing to the development of the winning strategy.

Support all BDMs across the business in the attainment of their sales targets.

Project manage the bid response from the receipt of the PQQ, ITT or similar.

Marshall the resources of the organisation to ensure a compliant and compelling response is submitted.

Ensure our response adheres to our bid and governance process.

What we are looking for:

Extensive bid management experience and demonstrable win rate

Ability to support and develop other staff

Good IT skills – must have experience of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vision, Adobe and preferably InDesignCS5 or similar.

Project management skills

Strong inter-personal and planning skills

Competent writing skills and experience of proposal authoring

Ability to handle multiple bids at one time

Ability to work under pressure & to tight deadlines
