Theatre Projects (TP) is a world-leading theatre design consultancy with a global team of more than 60 experts in theatre design, planning, technology, operations, and acoustics. We work with architects and builders to design and deliver performing arts venues all over the world. About the Role: Our successful team needs a Bid Manager based in our London office, but with flexibility to work from home for 3 days per week, to lead the preparation and submission of bids.

We want an enthusiastic individual committed to the long-term development of their skills, with a strong commitment to collaborative working. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator and be comfortable working with people at all levels. Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills will be required to work alongside multiple teams, across varying submissions with concurrent deadlines.

Your Skills Youre Someone Who Can

  • Lead the preparation and submission of PQQs, proposals and bids for building design projects, studies and competitions
  • Work with the directors, project leads and other members of the Theatre Projects team to develop detailed and competitive proposals
  • Collaborate and contribute to joint bids with architects and other external practices
  • Identify opportunities by monitoring tender portals and OJEU notices, presenting relevant opportunities to the management team
  • Research and gather information about the client and the project
  • Ensure that all required information and documents are included in the submission
  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure that the bid is completed on time and meets the client's needs
  • Present information clearly and appropriately using words, numbers and images
  • Work collaboratively and under direction while also being confident in working alone
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Generate, revise and maintain standard documents and policies.

YourExperience Youll Have

  • Five years or more experience in preparing bids in an architectural or construction context
  • Proficiency in MS Office particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel, and Adobe InDesign
  • Experience of resource planning and fee setting for bids
  • Ability to track resource outlay on current projects to better inform future fee proposals
  • Excellent copywriting, copyediting and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and within teams
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills and youll work well under pressure
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Proof of the legal right to work in the UK

Valued You May Have

  • Proficiency in other languages
  • Familiaritywith Adobe Creative Suite
  • A degree in architecture, journalism or a relatedfield.

Employment details

This is a full time, permanent position for 35 hours a week, based in our London Office. Theatre Projects offers a flexible working scheme based on project demands and recognises the importance of a good work/life balance. We currently offer the opportunity for remote working with 2-3 days in-office time per week.

Salary

£35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience.
