The Role
As Bid Writer, you will be responsible for developing compelling, accurate, and well-structured written responses to tender opportunities in support of the Business Development team. You will work with internal departments to translate technical input into clear, persuasive content that aligns with client requirements and showcases the companys strengths. You will also support the continuous improvement of bid content and play a key role in ensuring submissions meet required standards, formats, and deadlines.
Duties Include
- Draft high-quality written content for Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), Invitation to Tender (ITT) responses, and supporting documents
- Review tender documents to extract and understand client requirements and key evaluation criteria
- Translate complex technical and operational information into accessible, client-focused responses
- Work closely with the Estimating/ Bid Team and subject matter experts to gather and validate input for written responses
- Ensure all written material complies with bid instructions, reflects win themes, and meets tone and BBP branding guidelines
- Edit and proofread responses to ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a bid content library, including standard responses, CVs, case studies, and project sheets
- Support in coordinating inputs from across the business to meet submission deadlines
- Assist in managing post-bid clarifications and revisions to written submissions as required
- Help identify and integrate key accreditations, certifications, and evidence that strengthen submission narratives
Requirements And Skills

- Experience in the construction industry, specifically related to tender processes.
