Company Overview
You will be joining a very well-established, prestigious and highly regarded Consultancy business as their Billing Team Leader on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a newly created role working in a close-knit team of 6, reporting directly into the EMEA Billing Manager, supported by a much larger wider finance team consisting of Credit Control, Accounts Payable, Management Accounts and more. You will be based in their super modern Central London office 1-2 days a week, with the opportunity to work from home for the remaining 3-4 days.
Role Responsibilities
In your new role, you will be responsible for managing the full client billing process, reviewing/validating client contracts, supporting month-end close activities and revenue recognition processes, preparing/reviewing documentation for internal and external audit processes and maintaining strong internal controls to ensure SOX compliance. You will supervise, coach and develop the billing team, supporting them to achieve SLAs whilst maintaining a high quality of work across engagement validations, financial change requests, invoicing and email queries. You will support more junior members of the team on a daily basis and act as deputy to the Billing Manager when required. You will identify opportunities to improve and streamline billing processes, oversee and test new system enhancements in SAP/other platforms and collaborate with client service teams/business leaders to provide excellent support on billing queries.
Role Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need to have at least 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a senior Billing role, ideally in a Professional Services, Legal or Media environment. You will be a strong communicator with the confidence to liaise with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation. You will be a committed, engaging, self-motivated and driven individual with an outstanding work ethic and meticulous attention to detail. You will be a flexible, adaptable and mature team player who thrives in a multi-tasking, deadline driven environment. You will be a proactive, enthusiastic and determined individual with a working knowledge of SAP or another similar Accounting system.

You will receive an annual salary of up to £42,000 + Discretionary Annual Bonus + Benefits and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate.
