Description
Maccreanor Lavington is a multi-award winning architectural practice with offices in Rotterdam and London. We are currently seeking someone with solid experience of BIM delivery and coordination to work in our London studio. In this role you will work with architecture teams across the practice on a variety of projects at different work stages.
The ideal applicant should have large scale housing sector experience, preferably in the UK, with a minimum of 5 years Revit modelling experience. An understanding of BIM requirements and processes is essential.
Key Responsibilities
The requirements set out below outline the range of activities currently required. They are not a comprehensive list.
- Assist architectural project teams in the delivery of packages. This will require the candidate to coordinate Revit modelling, content creation and information management on projects in line with office standards, protocols and procedures.
- Assist project teams with the setup and edit of complex Revit families.
- The candidate will be required to assist in the preparation and export of Revit schedules to Excel, SQL, and Power Query.
- Automation through the use of Dynamo and scripting is a key focus of development at Maccreanor Lavington therefore the applicant will be required to create scripts to assist the project teams in their day to day tasks.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of BIM documentation on projects.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of the project CDE.
- Assist ensuring ongoing projects are compliant with UK BIM standards and project specific BIM requirements. The candidate will be required to QA Revit projects in line with office protocols and standards.
- Assist and undertake clash detection exercises using Navisworks and BIM 360.
- Assist project teams in the delivery of COBie data sets where required.
- Liaise with external consultants and design team members to facilitate coordination of BIM information.
- Lead staff training sessions to assist in development of modelling and BIM knowledge within the office.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Experience- Large scale, high density UK residential sector experience is a key requirement.
- Minimum 5 years Revit modelling experience.
- Experience of delivering BIM/ISO19650 compliant projects is highly desirable.

Technical skills- Understanding of building design process, technical standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Advanced Revit user with the ability to model and work with complex Revit families.
- Competent in Navisworks and clash detection process.
- Competent in BIM 360 and cloud based collaboration.
- Understanding of ISO 19650 suite of standards key BIM documents including BEP, EIR’s, MPDT and BIM Responsibility Matrix.
- Understanding of COBie and Uniclass 2015 classification. Experience of BIM Interoperability Tools for classification and export of COBie data is highly desirable.
- Experience of Excel, SQL and Power Query are highly desirable.
- Experience of 3D modelling tools such as Sketchup and 3ds Max is beneficial.
- Experience of rendering engines such as Enscape and Vray is beneficial.
