About the Role
The BIM Manager will support the Algeco internal design team (along with operational, manufacturing and commercial functions), with the implementation and management of BIM processes throughout the lifecycle of a project, from design, construction to handover and operation.
Your Responsibilities
Sales, Tender & Pre-Construction:
- Interpret client BIM briefs into contractor needs.
- Develop BIM strategies aligned with ISO 19650 or PAS 1192, tailored to tender requirements.
- Support setup of CDE workflows.
- Prepare and assist with BIM documentation including BEPs, MIDPs, TIDPs, AIRs, COBie requirements, and oversee implementation.
- Lead supply chain capability reviews, ensuring third-party competence and keeping templates current.
- Coordinate design consultants to ensure compliance with tender and statutory standards.
- Provide technical guidance on value engineering, product selection, and buildability.
- Identify risks in client deliverables and propose value-based alternatives.
- Support formal consultant/subcontractor appointments with clearly defined design roles.
- Assist Bid Team in crafting accurate, structured BIM responses for ITT questions.
Manufacturing, Delivery & Handover:
- Act as Information Manager where required, overseeing consultant BIM Managers.
- Ensure data consistency and accuracy across deliverables.
- Audit and support project teams on BIM standards and workflows.
- Lead clash detection and resolution workshops, addressing buildability, safety, and manufacturing needs.
- Assess subcontractor/consultant performance using KPIs to evaluate risk and ongoing suitability.
- Oversee “As-built” model verification via laser scanning.
- Co-manage digital O&M manual production in line with client handover procedures.
- Focus on enhancing stakeholder collaboration, reducing costs, improving delivery time, managing risks, and ensuring reliable data for facilities management.
Strategic:
- Promote BIM awareness and cultural change across the business.
- Present Algeco’s BIM capabilities to clients and support supply chain engagement.
- Maintain and enforce internal BIM standards and documentation.
- Lead BIM alignment with training, assurance, marketing, and communication efforts.
- Support development of BIM libraries and standard manufacturing details.
- Capture innovations that deliver cost, time, and waste efficiencies.
- Train staff in BIM tools and practices.
- Maintain Algeco’s ISO 19650-2:2018 certification.
- Support ISO 9001 audits.
- Stay current with industry standards through ongoing development.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Qualifications
- Degree/HNC qualified in a building related subject.
- CDM related qualifications beneficial but training will be provided.
- CSCS Card.
- Relevant software use such as: Autodesk and Microsoft suites.

Pay range and compensation package
Salary: £55,000 - £62,000p/a
25 days a year holiday + Statutory bank holidays (with a buy and sell holiday scheme up to 5 days)
