We have an exciting opportunity for a
Blue Light Senior Practitioner who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users with complex needs. You will ensure that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. This role will be working specifically with clients who are under the "Blue Light Project".
You will support clients and other team members to complete rehab assessments, liaising with rehabs and supporting service users through the process.

Full-Time Salary Range £32,002.38- £34,214.20 (pro rata for part time hours)
Allowance Inner London Weighting £4,133.14 (pro rata for part time hours)
Contract Permanent
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
About the role
- Identify, and engage with, people who have substance misuse problems with complex physical and / or mental health needs, including co-morbidity.
- Support the development of service-based recovery communities.
- Assist and carry out appropriate screening processes including DBST, urine and saliva tests, after completion of appropriate training or demonstration of relevant experience.
- Support the Team Leader to carry out case file audits and ensure findings encourage a culture of learning within the team.
- Engage in regular consultation with service users to maintain the quality of the service, supporting staff by encouraging service user engagement.
- Provide health education especially regarding harm minimisation, blood borne viruses and overdose prevention.
- Ensure that all aspects of confidentiality are adhered to.
- To provide advice, information, support and training to the emergency and criminal justice services on blue light and substance use issues.
- Providing flexible assertive outreach support to engage change resistant drinkers, who people are resistant to engage with the substance misuse service.
About you
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field.
- Knowledge and experience of multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes for the service user group.
- Ability to communicate complex information to individuals and groups in a way that is easily understood.
- Written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of personal IT competency. The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information.
- Excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objectives.
