The post holder will assist the BRC in the coordination of the EXPERTS ALS Programme capacity building initiatives.
The post holder will provide key project coordination for the delivery of the EXPERTS-ALS research programme across the EXPERTS-ALS consortium. The post holder will work closely with the Programme Leads and Collaborators to enable the successful delivery of the programme. The post holder will work closely with all collaborating BRCs to ensure strategic aims centred upon capacity development and training the next wave of future researchers is delivered. The post holder will support the Project Manager to work with investigators, CTRUs, NIHR, and Charity partners to support the smooth delivery of each work package of EXPERTS-ALS.
Reporting to the Operations Manager of the NIHR Sheffield BRC and EXPERTS-ALS Project Manager, the post holder will also be expected to input into annual NIHR reporting, liaise with sites and stakeholders and provide support to improving our impact and capacity building work. The role will include working across Patient and Participant Involvement (PPIE) and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategies and initiatives.
Develop administrative systems for Investigational Medicinal Product Logistics.

Keep up-to-date with the national clinical research environment to remain at the forefront of changes to legislation.
Participate in and facilitate teleconferences and face-to-face meetings as appropriate to discuss trial progress with the Investigators/Collaborators/CTMs/Trial Steering Committees and Data Safety Monitoring Committees.
Present trial information to clinicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals, at site visits and collaborator meetings, as required.
Advise centres on trial related matters including data queries, supplies management and essential documentation.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the NIHR BRC, working toward delivery of BRC objectives.
Contribute to the NIHR annual BRC activity report, providing quarterly metric updates to the Executive and Operational groups
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period until fixed term until 31/03/2027 due to the post being externally funded. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts taking into consideration the ongoing source of the external funding and the requirement for the post to be maintained
