Job Title: Breakfast & After School Playworker/Activity Leader

Location: St Helens C of E Primary School, Wheathampstead, St Albans, Hertfordshire AL4 8AN
NB: Casual roles available to cover for staff sickness, staff holidays and busier sessions if a zero hour contract is more suitable.
Hours: up to 17.75 hours per week - Term Time Only
Working Hours during Term Time: Monday to Friday - Hours: 7.30 - 8.45 & 15.20 - 18.00
Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour (plus holiday pay)
Contracts Available: Term Time Only

Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more ensuring they are age-appropriate.
- Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes.
- Provide refreshments for the children.

- Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more.
- Ensure all activities are age and skill-appropriate while prioritizing safety, including the proper use of equipment and space.
- Provide refreshments for the kids while maintaining our high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
- Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
- Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies and keep all relevant documentation, including accident and incident forms, up to date and completed as needed.
- Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out processes and procedures are followed for all children in our care.
- Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools.
- Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
- Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
- Keep all information and documents related to the children in our care confidential and secure.
- Inspire our team members and the children in our care to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.

This role requires compliance with the
Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the
Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. You must provide two references, one from your most recent employer and the other from a childcare setting (if applicable).
