We are seeking an intern to write about Britain for The Economist.
The internship will be London-based, is paid £2,500 per month and lasts for six months. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. They should send an unpublished article of 600 words suitable for publication in The Economist and a CV to [email protected]. The deadline is July 18th.
The aim of the internship scheme is to find and train future Economist journalists. Previous journalistic experience is not necessary, but candidates should have excellent writing and analytical skills. We prize independent thought, a spirit of inquiry and initiative.
The original article you send us is the most important part of the application. Successful candidates will be given challenging, exciting work straight away.
