Building Surveyor (Christian Charity)
£53,500 Per Annum + benefits + car and fuel
Remote with regular site travel across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, West
Sussex, Surrey, Bedfordshire
MRG is delighted to be partnering with a Christian charity to recruit an experienced
Building Surveyor to support and protect a diverse portfolio of residential properties
across the South East.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Director of Property, you will take ownership of building surveying
and asset management activity across multiple homes and schemes. The role is primarily remote, with regular travel required across the South East.
You will play a key part in:
Day-to-day maintenance oversight
Planned and reactive works
Long-term asset planning and investment decisions
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Directors of Property, Finance and Operations to agree,
manage and forecast maintenance budgets
Specify, tender, supervise and monitor building works, refurbishments and
planned preventative maintenance programmes
Prepare clear, timely reports on ongoing works, forward programmes and budget
Forecasts
Provide professional recommendations to support long-term asset planning and
cost modelling
Ensure robust control and authorisation of orders, invoices and expenditure in line
with organisational policies
Oversee quality, compliance and contractor performance across a varied
residential portfolio
Skills & Experience Required
Professionally qualified as a Building Surveyor, Architectural Technician, Project
Manager, Quantity Surveyor or similar
Strong hands-on experience in:
Building defect diagnosis
Property maintenance procurement and contractor management
Facilities and asset management
Managing repairs, maintenance and capital works projects
Confident producing estimates, drawings and specifications, and managing
projects through to completion
Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word and related systems
Highly organised, self-motivated and collaborative in approach
Willing and able to travel extensively across the South East
Full, clean UK driving licence essential
