The Job
We’re looking for a Programme Lead to join the team and manage our Bulk Purchase Annuity which is an area we are expanding into at pace with a number of new clients. You will support us in aligning our clients’ ambitions with our own strategic goals and will be reporting into senior leadership and stakeholders.
Here's What You'll Be Doing
As Programme Lead for BPA, you’ll be at the heart of one of the fastest-growing areas of our business. Working with our clients, who may be new to our IntelliPen platform, you’ll be responsible for delivering end-to-end programme management for Bulk Purchase Annuity implementations, onboarding, and transformation projects. You will also lead ongoing change initiatives for our established BPA clients.
You’ll ensure every BPA implementation meets the unique demands of each scheme, while aligning with our broader business and technology strategy. Reporting into senior leadership, you’ll bring clarity, structure, and momentum to complex projects – ensuring outcomes that deliver long-term value for clients and us.
You will be working closely with our tech team as well as they continue to build out our data management offering further. This will be product features used across our BPA clients but continuing to be linked to our award winning IntelliPen system.Candidates will have experience of UK Pensions and in particular Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA).
Key Skills And Experience
- Demonstrable experience in UK pensions, specifically Bulk Purchase Annuity(BPA)schemes
- A solid understanding of the BPA market, including insurer expectations, scheme
transitions, and operational readiness
- A proven track record of managing complex software implementation projects
or pension scheme transitions
- Strong commercial and strategic awareness – you can balance client needs with long-term business goals
- Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with pensions administration platforms (knowledge of IntelliPen is a plus)
- Complex and highly visible stakeholder management
- Strong contract & commercial awareness and budget management
- Skilled in successfully executing projects through a diverse range of methodologies
including Agile and waterfall, ensuring efficient and effective fulfilment of complex project requirements.
- Excellent risk management skills ensuring successful programme outcomes in
challenging situations
- Building and maintaining strategic relationships, managing conflict and motivating cross-functional teams
- A self-starter, you can take ownership of multiple tasks/situations and act on their
own initiative, a natural problem solver
- You know how to get the best out of people, and have a sense of humour
- Strong influencing and leadership skills, able to foster a collaborative work
environment while motivating and providing clear direction
- Demonstrable knowledge of governance processes, adept at enhancing and
adhering to governance processes to ensure end to end visibility and auditability
of project and programme deliveries.
- Extremely well organized and responsive with excellent time management.
- Decision making and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Project, Excel, Word and
PowerPoint
- Line management experience
