Job Title: Business analyst.

Location: Bradford, UK (Hybrid 1 time a week onsite)

Note: Candidates must have prior working experience in the water utilities domain. Experience outside this sector will not be considered.

Detailed Job Description:

The Business Analyst will carry out business analysis activities on one or more transformational business change initiatives across the Client portfolio. This will include working with key stakeholders to elicit, analyze and document all types of requirements in line with Practice Standards, policies, procedures, and methodologies to define acceptance criteria and support benefits realization.

Key to this role is to possess an inquisitive, questioning nature; to be able to probe and develop a deep understanding of business processes, business operating models and behaviors, identify opportunities creating an environment for delivering effective and sustainable change.

Role holders will drive towards demonstration of high levels of professionalism, particularly when engaging with business stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead Business Analysis activities on multiple change initiatives, delivering requirements specifications capable of being used to develop IT based services (bespoke software solutions, third party products and cloud-based solutions);
• Translating business needs into specific requirements including UI design; Data models; Business procedural changes and Interface designs
• Ensure thorough use of the Requirements Engineering model including elicitation, analysis, validation, documentation and traceability of requirements
• Use the appropriate elicitation techniques such as interviewing stakeholders, facilitating workshops, conducting surveys to capture requirements accurately
• Develop AS-IS and TO-BE business process models using defined standards, and use gap analysis to support delivery of any transition plans needed to reach the target situation
• Manage stakeholder communication at all levels
• Ensure that User Acceptance Testing takes place for all deliverables and support any associated testing activities
• Support the delivery of suitable solutions which meet business requirements
