Our business is focused on two investment areas:

• Mid-market Infrastructure: investing in low-riskmid-market infrastructure assetsand businesses and,
• PPP & Projects: developing and delivering PPP and other concession-based projects, as well as similar core infrastructure projects

In its Mid-market Infrastructure business, John Laing invests in developing and growing core infrastructure businesses and platforms which are asset intensive and provide essential or critical infrastructure.

In its PPP & Projects business, John Laing partners with governments, local authorities and other highly rated institutions to develop and deliver core infrastructure projects that are sustainable for the long-term and which serve the needs of local communities.

THE ROLE AND OPPORTUNITY

This role sits within the team of the CEO office. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day of the operation of the business through, among others, supporting the ongoing reporting needs and ad-hoc requirements from the CEO, the Board and other members of the SeniorManagement Group. The role entails a global visibility of the business across geographies and functional teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic & Business Support

• Assist the Chief of Staff in developing and executing firm-widestrategic initiatives
• Provide data-driven insights to support investment decision-making and internal operations
• Prepare presentations, reports, and executive summariesfor senior leadership
• Conduct market research and analysis, including competitor / industry research and analysis leveraging public and non-public sources
• Support the oversight of the globalpipeline and ensuretimely and accurate capturing of the information across regions

Project Management & Execution

• Support the management of cross-functional projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with company priorities
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projectsstay on track and objectives are met
• Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and key deliverables to the Chief of Staff

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Act as a liaisonbetween the Chief of Staff and other departments
• Ensure smooth communication and coordination of initiatives acrossthe organisation
• Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations for JLG Board and Senior Management Group, conveying key insights, and recommendations

Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (investment, assetmanagement, finance) to help streamline operations and improve internal processes
• Track KPIs and performance metrics to ensurealignment with businessgoals

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS& QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience in infrastructure investment management, management or engineering consulting, investment banking or within a Big 4 transaction team
• Bachelor’s degreein Business, Economics, STEM or a relatedfield
• Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbaland written
• Ability to demonstrate strategicthinking and work independently
• Advanced level of PowerPoint and high proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver
