About The Role

Progeny Asset Management provides a Discretionary Investment Service for a combination of individuals, trusts, companies, and pension funds. We are currently entering an exciting phase of growth and succession, which has in turn led to an investment in the expansion of the Asset Management team. In the role of Business Analyst, your focus will be to source, maintain and improve data to support the Investment team and the board.

This role can be based out of either our Leeds or London office on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation.
• Mine and analyse datasets, summarise and present them successfully to management.
• Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools.
• Work with the group data team to Monitor and audit PAMs data quality.
• Identify, maintain and improve systems and processes.
• Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content.
• Work with key third party stakeholders, e.g. ACD, consultants and platforms.
• Produce and track key performance indicators.
• Produce MI for the Senior Leadership Team, Executive Board and PAM Board.
• Managing stakeholder queries and working with the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Asset Management on commercial matters.
  
  

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Educated to degree standard (essential).
• Considerable experience gained within investment management, asset/portfolio management or Financial Services (essential).
• Experience in accounting, financial modelling or audit
• Excellent working knowledge of investments within an administration/operations team.
• Excellent understanding of the Microsoft Office suite, VBA or other coding languages.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools.
• The capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with investment managers.
• Ability to apply logic and creativity to problem solving.
• Ability to work to deadlines and excellent time management.
• Exceptional focus and attention to detail.
