Job Purpose
To provide analytical support to the lead programme sponsor and the wider programme sponsor community within both the wastewater and water sponsorship function.
To use data to drive informed decision-making and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of programme sponsorship. To support the programme sponsor community by delivering detailed analysis, insights, and recommendations that align with regulatory commitments and business objectives.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with programme sponsors to understand analytical needs and deliver data-driven solutions that support programme objectives.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
- Design and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualisations to monitor programme performance and outcomes.
- Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, supporting project prioritisation and business case development.
- Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders, provide training on analytical tools, and support regulatory reporting and issue resolution through data insights.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Regulatory Contract (WINEP and Final Determination), Programme Delivery Lifecycle (PDL), and regulatory reconciliation mechanisms such as Price Control Deliverables and WINEP EPA.
- Apply relevant experience and sound knowledge of wastewater operations, practices, techniques, and business procedures to support programme delivery.
- Utilise excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including financial analysis techniques such as Best Value and Cost Benefit Assessments.
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint, with strong data handling skills to interpret and present meaningful insights.
- Communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally, with the ability to present data clearly, challenge assumptions, and ensure accuracy.
- Manage multiple workstreams efficiently, prioritising tasks and collaborating with teams to support programme sponsors and deliver successful outcomes.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in a numerate or technical discipline, and/or relevant experience of water/wastewater programme sponsorship techniques and business processes.
