Business Analyst/Project Manager-Capital Markets T+1 proposition

Our client is a global bank. The T+1 improvement program in the capital markets area of the bank is a program designed at looking at the Front-to-back processes of the business and identifying areas where Be can help to make the process or control more efficient by moving them to a T-Zero state; This will generally be in the form of fixing existing STP issues, enhancements, automation or building preventative and detective Control layers. This is backed up by a set of deliverables to the Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) set in 2023 sponsored by the T-Zero Program. .

This programme is focused on realigning the operating model across jurisdictions by

• Streamlining processes and technology
• Driving efficiency within the Markets business
• Supporting entity-level transformation

The role involves analysing current pain points and building out requirements that feed into execution plans. It demands strong coordination with SMEs and management across business line.

Role Expectations

Your responsibilities as a BA/PM will include:

• Problem Statement Analysis: Deep dive into current inefficiencies and control gaps.
• Requirements Gathering: Translate business needs into actionable IT and Ops deliverables.
• Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with Product Owners, IT, and Operations.
• Delivery Oversight: Ensure execution aligns with agreed timelines and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

• Experience in Equity Products (Warrants, Certificates, Convertibles)
• Direct experience in Derivative products- Rates & Credit being the key ones.
• Excellent Stakeholder management skills in areas mentioned.
• Understanding of Middle Office and Operations Trade Lifecycle and Trade Validation Controls
• Knowledge of OTC derivative products and valuations
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Good PC skills, specifically Excel & PowerPoint, a plus if they have SQL/Coding abilities
• Nice to have / system experience in Equities Platforms: Front Arena, GEOS, PRISM, SYN
• Nice to have / system experience in Eq Rates/Credit/Rec Platforms: Summit, Calypso, Xfos, Mrtkwire, DTCC.
• Nice to have / Reconciliation platform experience in TLM and/or DUCO (Specific to a Recs BA role)
