The Role:
As part of our transformation journey, Liverpool City Council is implementing an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that will transform our Finance, Human Resources, and Payroll functions. The new ERP system will replace our current SAP (Finance) and Oracle (Payroll) platforms, along with several smaller systems covering other functions within Finance and Resources and HR and Payroll. It will be built using Microsoft Dynamics for Finance and Resources, and MHR i-Trent for HR and Payroll. We are looking to stand up a team of experts to work in partnership with Ernst and Young (EY), who have been appointed to deliver the integrated solution, and internal subject matter experts to help shape the future of how we work, ensuring we deliver the best outcomes for staff and residents.
The Business Architect will own the design of the future ERP solution. They will support Council leadership and functional teams to position and deliver the transformation successfully. The role requires an experienced transformation expert, who can guide the Council to understand the impact of decisions being made and ensure ‘adopt not adapt’ principles are followed wherever possible. The role will lead the overall design workstream and is responsible for supporting the HR & Payroll / Finance & Procurement Leads to facilitate decision making across the business for the key design decisions.
The successful candidate will have delivered a minimum of 3 ERP transformation programmes including performing within leadership positions.
This role is fixed term for the purpose to own the design of the future ERP Solution. Support the council to deliver the transformation and will end 30th April 2027.
