This role combines project management, change management, and business analysis skills.

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

About The Role

In this role, you'll manage and support key change initiatives across Cambridge UK Education, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and lasting value. You'll apply a flexible, value-driven approach to project and change management, adapting methods to fit the scale and nature of each initiative while working closely with stakeholders to embed sustainable improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing projects and workstreams across all lifecycle stages, using best-practice planning, financial oversight, and risk management.
  • Identifying and managing change impacts, ensuring successful adoption and long-term benefits.
  • Engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior sponsors and cross-functional teams.
  • Managing high-risk or business-critical initiatives with agility and resilience.
  • Representing projects in governance forums and contributing to continuous improvement by sharing and adopting best practices across the organisation.

About You

You are a change and project management professional who learns quickly, thinks critically, and enjoys solving problems. With excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, you're able to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence effectively at all levels. You're resilient and innovative, able to meet the challenges of delivering change, and you take ownership of delivery with a focus on continuous improvement. You also understand business and stakeholder needs, helping OCR deliver an outstanding assessment experience.

This is a chance to make a meaningful impact on OCR's transformation. In return, you'll join a supportive team that will help you grow from a manager into a leader of change.

In addition, you will also have:

  • Proven track record in identifying, initiating, and delivering change
  • Experience working in a project and/or process improvement initiatives
  • Experience with process improvement tools and techniques, including mapping
  • Understanding of the UK awarding organisation and regulatory environment
