What you’ll be doing:
The Business Conduct Analyst provides dedicated support to the Business Conduct Team within Group Risk & Compliance. The role is central to how SJP manages conduct-related matters, handling investigation intake and triage, monitoring investigation recommendations, supporting governance forums, and overseeing regulatory references processes. Operating in a confidential and regulated environment, the role contributes directly to the firm’s ethical, cultural, and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities:
Investigation Intake & Triage
- Act as the first point of contact for conduct-related matters.
- Record and categorise cases in Salesforce.
- Prioritise and escalate issues appropriately.
Investigation Allocation & Recommendation Management
- Support allocation of cases to investigators based on expertise and capacity.
- Track recommendations from completed investigations, escalating overdue actions and ensuring timely closure.
Reporting & Data Insight
- Prepare regular reports for senior stakeholders, including case volumes, themes and trends.
- Provide management information to Business Units and Field Risk & Supervision.
Governance & Regulatory Support
- Provide administrative and reporting support for investigation panels, committees, and governance forums.
- Oversee the regulatory references mailbox, ensuring responses meet legal and regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate records.
Who we’re looking for:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused individual who can operate confidently in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling sensitive information, managing multiple cases concurrently, and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels. They will demonstrate sound judgment, strong analytical capability, and a commitment to upholding SJP’s culture, values, and conduct standards.
Essential Experience:
- Experience or strong understanding of investigation processes (intake, triage, evidence handling, reporting).
- Ability to interpret data, identify themes, and produce clear reports or insights.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage case workflows.
- Awareness of confidentiality, data protection, and regulatory expectations.
- Proficiency with analytical or reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
Desirable:
- Experience working within Risk, Compliance, or a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of ethical standards, corporate governance, or conduct frameworks.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar case management systems.
- Experience supporting governance forums or committees.
