We’re now looking for a Business Development Associate to join our Business Banking team, five days a week in London. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in our commercial growth strategy – working directly with founders, CFOs, and finance teams to help them discover how OakNorth can simplify complexity, unlock capital, and give them the tools they need to reach their next big milestone.

Key responsibilities:
- Support the Business Banking commercial growth team, from origination to in-life management of OakNorth Business Banking customers
- Proactively acquire new business banking customers through a variety of channels including, outbound calls and emails, responding to inbound enquiries, inviting prospects and existing customers to exclusive events, and driving ongoing engagement and account management with businesses in the OakNorth ecosystem
- Work with the Marketing and Commercial teams to identify opportunities, structure data, build processes and automation to increase productivity and relevance to our ICP
- Contribute to ad-hoc duties and projects as determined from time to time by members of the management team
- Work cross functionally with other relevant business departments by communicating valuable customer feedback and keeping them informed of customer issues and successes
- Ensure ongoing development of commercial and customer service skills within the role

- Strong organisational and time management skills are essential
- Thrives in fast-paced environments, delivering high-quality work under pressure and within deadlines
- Experience with CRM and telephony systems is ideal; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
- Previous experience within customer service roles is preferred but not required
- Customer-focused with a passion for great service and a proactive, go-the-extra-mile attitude
- An undergraduate degree or higher is preferred but not required
