Broadridge is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented, analytical, experienced business development manager to join our London-based team. This role reports to the General Manager, International Issuers, and will primarily focus on our Investor Communications offering.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct direct engagement with clients - primarily Investor Relations and Company Secretary professionals - to identify pain points, gather feedback, and develop business cases for new opportunities.
- Analyze regulatory trends to inform product vision and ensure compliance.
- Support the development of product roadmaps, requirements, and user stories aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Develop go-to-market strategies, including sales support materials, to clearly represent our solutions to clients.
- Collaborate with sales personnel to provide product and technical knowledge in support of pre-sales activities.
- Engage with clients, prospects, and partners to deliver comprehensive product demonstrations and technical explanations, and to create supporting documentation.
- Prepare business analysis, discovery documentation, and presentations for product management teams to address functional gaps.
- Monitor market and competitive landscapes, identifying opportunities for product differentiation.
- Measure and report on product adoption, client satisfaction, and key outcomes, iterating based on data and feedback.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial services, with a proven record in business development, product strategy, or consulting roles relevant to investor communications or governance.
- Deep knowledge of corporate governance best practices, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) frameworks, and current trends in investor relations and shareholder engagement.
- Direct exposure to Investor Relations, Company Secretariat processes, or related regulatory and compliance obligations (e.g., annual meetings, proxy statements, shareholder communications).
- Advanced academic credentials: Master’s degree preferred (or equivalent) in business, finance, law, or a related discipline.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated strength in high-level technology assessment, project management, and financial analysis/modelling.
- Familiarity with SaaS or digital platforms supporting corporate governance, meeting management, and shareholder communications a plus.
- Proven ability to thrive within complex, matrixed organizations, demonstrating leadership presence and cross-functional influence.
- Relationship builder with an entrepreneurial mindset, passionate about opportunities to drive innovation and client value.
