Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the role is to support PMC’s ambitious growth agenda by driving the effectiveness of client business development activity across the company. Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, this role drives the execution of client growth plans and supports consultant teams globally to deliver high-impact business development (BD) activity.

The ideal candidate will be both strategic and execution-focused, with an ability to understand PMC’s commercial objectives while ensuring effective day to day execution of our growth plans.

The Role:

1. Client Growth Planning and Execution

• Support monitoring of client growth plan execution, leveraging PMC and market data to inform commercial approach.
• Partner with consultant teams, working closely with them day to day to assess business development effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Track global market trends to refine PMC’s approach and identify emerging opportunities.

2. Effective Consultant BD

• Help communicate our growth plans to the business and define clear expectations for consultant business development contribution.
• Work with team leads and consultants to improve their business development quality and volume, using a data-driven approach. Drive visibility, accountability, and successful outcomes.
• Identify and embed best practices to foster continuous learning and improved execution.
• Take ownership of ensuring internal client facing teams deliver on agreed strategic plans

3. Business Development Resources

• Own, maintain and enhance a central repository of sales collateral and BD tools.
• Help optimise CRM systems and other tools to support BD effectiveness.
• Oversee BD training and initiatives to improve consultant capability and impact.
• Onboarding all new employees to ensure understanding and by-in to PMC’s strategy

4. Client Campaigns

• Oversee a calendar of centrally managed campaigns (e.g., value driven topical mailers, thought leadership, product launches, client insights) that align with PMC’s strategy.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in business development, commercial strategy & execution, or related roles, ideally within a consulting or professional services environment.
• Experience in designing and executing client growth plans and business development campaigns.
• Strong analytical skills to leverage data for decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate goals into actionable plans.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence internal stakeholders and drive business objectives to successful outcomes
• Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

It would be nice for you to have:

• Track record of implementing change with measurable outcomes (e.g. improved commercial performance).
• Experience working with external agencies on marketing, branding, or related initiatives.
• Professional qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. finance, marketing, business management, etc.) are valued.
