What You Will Do

• Source asset finance opportunities direct from customers, bank colleagues and indirectly via our broker relationships
• Devise and implement account management plans
• Build on existing relationships and cultivate new sources of business
• Actively manage your deal pipeline ensuring we maintain agreed service levels
• Write credit applications for deals (>£250k), including financial / asset analysis with your recommendation
• Manage all internal and external stakeholders, provide reporting and feedback, motivate and remove barriers
• Growing long term relationships with customers and brokers – providing AMAZEING customer service
• Increasing Metro’s share of our customers and brokers asset finance opportunities.
• Maximising profitability by originating business which fits within Metro’s credit and pricing appetite
• Deliver training to bank colleagues to enhance their understanding of Asset Finance and our appetite

What You Will Need

• Experience working in a business development role
• Experience working with and supporting brokers
• Understanding of the features and benefits of AF products
• Ability to read and interpret financial accounts and management information
• Familiarity with asset finance documentation
• General knowledge of hard assets (transportation, construction, manufacturing, waste recycling etc)
• Experience of working within an Asset Finance Business
• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
