Business Development Manager – Accommodation/Modular


Job Purpose

We are looking for a self-starting and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth, revenue, and profitability through a consultative, solutions-led approach. You will manage and develop a portfolio of existing clients while proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities across targeted market sectors. This particular role will place a focus on two major projects in the South of England.


With expertise in the hire industry, you'll anticipate and respond to customer needs, delivering complete site solutions in alignment with the company’s offerings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to win new business and expand regional presence.
  • Manage and grow relationships within a portfolio of regional and national accounts.
  • Drive revenue growth in the region in collaboration with the wider sales team.
  • Research and identify market sectors and contractors that align with the company’s solutions.
  • Proactively seek out and convert new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow long-term customer relationships.
  • Introduce and upsell the full range of products and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing effectively to maximise value and secure long-term partnerships.


Success Measures

  • Achieving and exceeding revenue targets within the assigned region.
  • Effective management and control of debt within your customer portfolio.
  • Strong pipeline development and conversion for the company’s solutions.
  • New lead generation and account acquisition.
  • Measurable portfolio growth and increased client engagement.


Essential Experience & Skills

Experience:

  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets and revenue growth goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to win new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Industry experience in external sales, ideally within the hire sector


Skills:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to sell ideas, services, and solutions with a consultative approach.
  • Exceptional multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with commercial acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Technical aptitude to understand and tailor solutions to customer requirements.
  • Solid IT proficiency and familiarity with standard business software.
  • Good grasp of sales, marketing, and business development principles.
