Find where you belong!
Are you energised by winning new business and opening doors that have never been opened before? Do you thrive in a field-based sales role where relationships, autonomy and visible impact define your success?
What’s it all about?
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of driving growth across Travelodge’s Groups channel, focusing on acquiring new hotel booking agents, securing named corporate clients and unlocking entirely new customer segments that haven’t yet experienced group stays with us. You’ll spend most of your time out in the field meeting customers face to face, building trusted partnerships and showcasing the Travelodge portfolio in compelling, commercial ways, while still staying closely connected to the wider business with one day a week at our Thame Head Office.
You’ll take ownership of developing a strong pipeline of new groups and events opportunities, shaping strategic plans that grow revenue and market share, and working closely with internal teams to ensure every opportunity is converted smoothly. From presenting at exhibitions and networking events to leading hotel visits and account development conversations, you’ll be the face of Travelodge for new Groups and Events business. With the support of a company car or car allowance, you’ll have the freedom, responsibility and visibility to make a real difference, backed by a business that values insight, collaboration and results.
Why Travelodge?
We believe in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can be their true self and belong. We work hard to improve the diversity of our teams and celebrate our differences. And we care about our colleagues’ wellbeing, so we ensure there are plenty of resources available so everyone can look after their emotional, physical, financial and work wellbeing. We call this “Better Me".
Who will this appeal to?
To succeed in this role, you’ll be a proactive Groups and Events sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. You’ll have a strong B2B sales background with a proven ability to win new business, ideally with experience in hotel sales or Groups and Events supplier management. Confident, structured selling skills, strong relationship-building ability and a hunger for new name wins are essential, along with the resilience, curiosity and self-drive to deliver results at pace.
