At Titan Travel, we are recruiting for 2 Business Development Managers to work across our North & Central regions. Could this be you!?
It is an exciting time to join our Trade team at Titan, we have an ambitious growth plan and redefined strategy but also want to keep the customer at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a true ambassador to be out in the field to ensure Titan Travel is our travel agent partners first choice to deliver on our mission of being the most trusted touring partner.
Titan Travel is a brand owned and operated by Saga Travel Group (UK) Limited, effectively making them sister brands. Saga acquired Titan Travel in 2009, and while they are now part of the same group, Titan Travel continues to operate as a separate, though integrated, entity within the Saga Travel business.
This is a field based role, where roughly 80% of your time will be on the road meeting with accounts. There will be the expectation that you will need to work flexible hours around industry and trade events.
Role Responsibility
As one of our Business Development Managers your responsibilities will be split across 3 key pillars – Strategic Account Support, Key Account Management and Training & Engagement.
Responsibilities will include:
- Acting as an ambassador for Titan Travel and demonstrate an exceptional level of product / sector knowledge ensuring the brand has an extremely high profile.
- Working in partnership with the Trade Success Manager to create, implement and own your call plan to maximise reach in your region.
- Identify trade partner training needs and create a plan to address them (including FAM trips)
- Attending all trade events in your region including (but not limited to) TIPTO, ATAS & Travel Gossip.
- Driving participation in Titan Rewards to drive upsell and focus on business priorities.
- Helping develop training plans alongside Strategic & Business Development Sales Managers.
- Analysing your regions weekly, monthly and quarterly account activity and performance, spotting opportunities to improve performance and put in place tangible, measurable action plans that drive results.
- Driving trade incentives and campaigns
- Monitoring and reporting on competitor activity in the touring and wider holiday sectors
- Delivering on your promises and be the most trust partner to your accounts
- Ensuring that agreed sales and marketing activity is implemented, tracked and monitored to assess ROI
- Structuring workload effectively to ensure maximum time with accounts and all administration and support activities are completed effectively and to time.

Our ideal Business Development Manager will have a background in sales and account management. Experience within a travel agency would be desirable but we are open to considering candidates across the wider travel industry.
Based on the field nature of the role you will need to hold a full driving licence.
Skills required include:
- Exceptional people management skills, particularly in a flexible/hybrid working environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to quickly form relationships
- Sales driven and commercially savvy
- An eye for identifying commercial opportunities, and the skills to translate this into results
- Ability to partner with other stakeholders and challenge where necessary
- Innovative thinker constantly looking to improve ways of working
- Engaging and inspiring individual, influencing internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Cost focused, with ability to manage multiple budget lines
