Business Development Team Lead

Are you a natural leader with a passion for sales, relationship building, and driving results? We’re looking for a Team Leader to guide and inspire a team of Junior Business Development Executives (JBDEs) while also playing a hands-on role in securing and growing business within the Public Sector.

In this role, you’ll combine leadership with direct sales activity — identifying new opportunities, maximising margins, and forging strong relationships with customers, partners, and vendors. You’ll ensure your team responds to inbound demand swiftly, aligns with Public Sector frameworks, and proactively develops new revenue streams.

What you’ll do:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of JBDEs to achieve and exceed targets.
• Identify, create, and convert new sales opportunities within Public Sector accounts.
• Engage with partners and vendors to register opportunities, secure funding, and maximise margins.
• Maintain accurate customer and opportunity data in the CRM system.
• Deliver accurate sales forecasts and account plans.
• Work with solution experts to create winning propositions for clients.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships at multiple levels.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven technology sales experience, ideally in Public Sector.
• Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, services, and procurement processes.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to negotiate successfully with clients and vendors.
• A track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate value clearly.
