Practice Plus Group is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Business Development Writer & Researcher to join our Secondary Care business development team. This is a home-based role with frequent travel to sites across the England.

You will play a key role in researching and producing high-quality, clear, and compelling proposal content for our Secondary Care and Integrated Urgent Care services. Working closely with clinical, operational colleagues and subject matter experts, you will gather and interpret information to develop tailored responses to tender opportunities and bid questions.

The successful candidate will be comfortable managing competing deadlines, communicating confidently across teams, and delivering precise and persuasive written content to support our growth ambitions.

What you'll be doing

• Develop high quality written proposals in line with Practice Plus Group’s Bid Standard Operating Procedures (Bid SOP) and style guidelines
• Conduct thorough research on healthcare market opportunities and commissioner documentation
• Collaborate with clinical, operational teams, and subject matter experts to gather information for bids and tenders
• Write clear, concise, and bespoke responses within word limits
• Edit and improve existing bid content, incorporating feedback from senior stakeholders
• Manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
• Maintain and update a library of bid responses and evidence of good practice
• Support the team in identifying new business development opportunities
• Promote and utilise bid management systems such as Huddle

What we'll look for in you

• Recognised qualification or relevant experience in writing, bid writing, journalism, or related fields
• Proven experience writing bids or proposals within the healthcare sector
• Strong research skills and ability to analyse complex documentation
• Excellent written English with exceptional attention to detail (grammar, spelling, formatting)
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
• Confident communicator with experience working across multi-disciplinary teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and web-based systems
