BI Developer

Leicestershire (Hybrid)

The Company

An exciting opportunity for a Power BI Developer to join a major UK retail organisation’s finance team, working closely with their analytics function to drive data storytelling, reporting automation, and self-service analytics adoption across the business

The Role

Reporting to the BI Manager, you’ll collaborate with SQL engineers and finance stakeholders to deliver high-impact Power BI dashboards supporting four key areas:

Accounts Payable – Supplier payments
Cash Accounting – Cash flow monitoring (Amex, PayPal, etc.)
Commercial Services – Store essentials (e.g., hangers, bags)
Operations – Stock levels across stores, warehouses, and tills

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards tailored to finance and operational functions
Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into actionable visualisations

Utilise data storytelling to enable insight-driven decision-making

Support the business in transitioning to self-service analytics, reducing ad-hoc reporting

Contribute to the team’s shift toward a gold-standard Medallion Architecture
