Business Officer | 9403 | Fixed Term Contract for 18 Months | 37 hours per week | £25,583 to £25,989 per annum | (Grade D) | County Hall
Norfolk County Council invites you to become part of our dynamic Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team. We’re seeking a Temporary Business Officer (BO) to play a vital role in supporting the team within the wider team, processing and completing DoLS application and authorisations.
Business Support is an essential and pivotal part of our team. The DoLS Team works closely with care homes and hospitals, members of the public and advocacy organisations and other Norfolk County Council colleagues. The team is responsible for assessing individuals who lack capacity to consent to their care arrangements.
You will assist with processing new referrals into the team and complete the administration process and completion of new applications in a timely manner. Your main tasks will include working closely with other BOs and social care practitioners within the wider DoLS team. You will be responsible for using Teams, Excel, data entry, Microsoft Outlook and taking calls from members of the public, and other professionals. Multitasking is essential. You must be flexible and adaptable to new ways of working, have a positive attitude and respect for service data.
This is an exciting time to join the DoLS Team as we continue to develop the service and provide an opportunity to learn new skills within a supportive working environment. This is a challenging role which requires you to be a team player and coordinate and organise your own workload. You must be a committed team player used to delivering. If you have a proactive, positive and “can do” approach we will welcome your application.
