- This role is crucial to ensuring the successful facilitation of the Children’s Social Care Learning and Development offer providing support to both the workforce and trainers.
- Salary for this role is £24,027 -£24,404 per annum for 37 hours/week
What will I be doing?
We’re working to improve the lives of children, young people and families in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. The Children and Families Learning and Development team do this by providing a dynamic learning and development offer, alongside managing and supporting different workforce recruitment and retention strategies. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- The Business Support function plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth facilitation of all learning and development courses, including:
- CFLD inbox management
- Room bookings
- Organising resources
- Ensuring tutors have everything they need ahead of time and on the day
- Responding to workforce queries
- You will have basic financial responsibilities including raising purchase orders and product receipting to ensure prompt payment to suppliers.
- Keeping systems and spreadsheets up to date, including our online learning hub, “The Learning Centre”.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:
- Have strong Microsoft skills, particularly with Outlook, Excel & Word
- Are confident in communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work in a changing environment and to ‘hit the ground running’
- An understanding of the important of prioritising and time managing workload
