Job title: Business Resource Planner

Salary: Up to £55,869 commensurate on skills and experience
What You’ll Be Doing
- To provide a business resource planning framework, process and review structure
- Provide an Integrated Business Planning solution utilising project planning and functional data
- Maintain and develop appropriate planning tools in conjunction with the business
- Define, implement and manage a Strategic and Tactical Detail Planning process and requirements set that support the key Project milestones, ensuring consistent application across the Business adopting a bold and innovative strategy to address issues and solutions ensuring Project and wider business buy in at all times
- Generate, maintain and deploy all business and specific planning structures ensuring seamless reporting across the business and systems meeting and exceeding their quality, timeliness and measures
- Collate weekly / monthly schedule data from the Project teams and functions, analyse and interpret data, update and interrogate schedules and support schedule and resource owners
- Take ownership and ensure integrity coherency and timeliness of the data elements owned by Detail Planning within the Integrated Business Systems
Your Skills And Experiences
- Degree-level qualification (engineering discipline preferred) or comparable experience in the engineering/manufacturing sector, with demonstrable Project Management delivery or planning experience, ideally from a comparable industry (Defence)
- Formal training in Project Management (accredited by APM, PMI or PRINCE), with knowledge of scheduling and risk software tools (e.g. MS Project & Predict!), as well as experience of SAP
- Experience in using data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience in building relationships and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Expert knowledge of Planning Techniques & processes
- Experience working as a Business Resource Planner or Project Planner

Our Project Management Office is developing Business Resource Planning capability, building on existing processes and toolsets. Our aim is to respond quickly and efficiently to changing business needs, ensuring we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time. This is an exciting opportunity to build a Business Resource Planning framework and process, to then execute within the business. The role will require working closely with multi-functional resource owners across the business.
