The Business Risk Services team helps clients identify, assess, and manage risks that could impact their strategic objectives. From internal audit and controls assurance to risk advisory and governance reviews, we work with a wide range of organisations to strengthen their resilience and improve performance. You'll gain exposure to diverse industries and develop a deep understanding of how businesses operate, while helping clients build trust and transparency in their operations.   • Work with a variety of clients, from FTSE-listed companies to fast-growing start-ups, across sectors like financial services, public sector, and technology. You'll support them in evaluating internal controls, identifying areas of risk, and recommending improvements.
  • Get involved from day one, contributing to real advisory projects - from business transformation and risk management to forensic investigations and performance improvement. Your work will span internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews, giving you a broad foundation in business risk management.
  • Take on responsibility quickly, owning tasks that challenge your thinking and build your confidence.
  • Collaborate with experienced colleagues, turning complex business issues into clear, actionable solutions.
  • Learn every day on the job, with guidance from mentors and a structured training programme to build your technical, digital, and professional skills.

Completing a professional qualification is a substantial commitment and it's worth taking this into consideration before applying, as you will be required to study in your spare time outside of your working hours. You'll also be provided with study leave in the run up to your exams. You'll need to be focused, committed, and organise your time well to balance all the requirements of being a trainee.
