We are seeking an aspiring or experienced dedicated professional to work with both adults and children, providing administrative support to our teams.
The primary objective of this role is to deliver confidential administrative assistance to the manager and team, utilizing relevant systems, protocols, and resources. This involves promptly addressing telephone and email inquiries and upholding high standards of customer service while adhering to the policies and values of West Northamptonshire Council. Additionally, the role entails meeting reporting deadlines.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate, at our cost.
It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check. West Northamptonshire Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Your core responsibility involves maintaining and enhancing both electronic and paper-based record systems to ensure robust support for the business operations. Also, you will oversee the coordination of resource stocks and office supplies, aiming to optimise service operations while minimising wastage through the adept use of electronic ordering and payment platforms.
You will serve as the frontline for reception duties, handling telephone and email inquiries in alignment with the Company's customer service standards. Play a pivotal role in building strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders, including managers, colleagues, customers, and carers. Your communication style should consistently reflect clarity and politeness.
Furthermore, your role extends to providing comprehensive administrative support to managers and colleagues within your team, encompassing tasks such as responding to inquiries, managing diaries, and executing assigned duties diligently. Active engagement in staff meetings, team activities, supervision sessions, appraisals, and training programs are expected!
Based at Olympus House, NN3.
