The role
As a Business Support Lead, you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional administrative support within a dynamic and impactful environment. You’ll work closely with the Safety, Health and Environmental Protection (SHEP) Director and the wider SHEP Marine team, ensuring the smooth coordination of departmental activities, reporting, and events.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide administrative support to coordinate the SHEP team’s activities, including the preparation of monthly reports, materials for meetings and presentations, plan and coordinate group/marine SHEP campaigns and events, and provide administrative support to senior members of the SHEP Marine Team in all aspects of their work.
- Provide high-quality administrative support to the SHEP Marine team, including senior leaders, and manage inbox and diary coordination for the SHEP Director and Marine SHEP inbox.
- Prepare monthly reports, including the Monthly Meeting Pack, SHEP Marine Pack, and SHEP performance bulletin.
- Coordinate Toolbox Talks (TBTs), SHEP Alerts, and support the planning of SHEP campaigns and events.
- Arrange SHEP inductions for new leadership roles and assist with onboarding activities.
- Raise and receipt purchase requisitions, ensuring timely and accurate procurement support.
- Support any other reasonable requests from the SHEP Director, contributing flexibly to the team’s success.
This role is a full time (37 hours per week) fully remote position and requires occasional travel to Rosyth, as required.
Essential Experience Of Business Support Lead
- Recent and relevant experience in a similar role.
- Diary management – Planning meetings

- Conversant with MS Office suite
- Procurement – Raising purchase orders
