About The Role
We are seeking a Business Systems Specialist to join the Business Systems team. In this role, you will collaborate with the company to analyse business needs and identify ways to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of business operations by optimising existing system implementations and adoption. Occasionally, you may need to work alongside the project management team to facilitate the onboarding of new systems for WPT.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all core BAU systems and productivity tools are maximised for their intended use, alongside promoting full product adoption where necessary. This entails engaging with internal stakeholders to raise awareness of these tools and organising training sessions as appropriate. Additionally, you will partner with external account managers and customer success managers to review the product roadmap, collaborating with WPT engineers and technicians to implement what is suitable to improve the product for Starling Group.
Based on your knowledge and experience, you will be assigned a specific business area and oversee the entire software lifecycle in that domain. This includes assessing and overseeing all new software requests to ensure the company's software catalogue meets all requirements and avoids duplication across Starling Group. A key aspect of this role involves rigorously testing and configuring tools. Assessing their durability and maximising their potential both independently and when integrated with other systems, to ensure all functionalities are thoroughly understood and verified.
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as a champion for products and a go-to person for internal and external stakeholders within your assigned business area
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across the bank to determine requirements and provide effective service support
- Ensure business needs are captured, analysed, and translated into effective solutions
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all products continue to meet business requirements
- Facilitate communication between business areas and technology to ensure timely resolution of IT-related issues
- You will have a thorough understanding of the business goals, strategies and challenges, and identify solutions that support the growth of the business
- Analyse business processes to find opportunities for improvement
- Stay up to date with current and emerging technology trends, and provide recommendations on how they can be applied to improve business operations
- Support departments across Starling Group with sourcing and implementing new systems.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of business processes and current IT systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Technology-focused with solid knowledge of software maintenance, provisioning, and implementation.
- Proactive with excellent capacity to retain new information and grasp new concepts quickly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Highly organised with good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise
- Basic understanding of Project Management methodologies
- Prior experience working with Atlassian & Google products is preferable, but not essential.
