About the role:
Join our fast-paced and highly motivated JCB Service operational purchasing team, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the availability of parts that keep our global dealer and customer network moving. This is a dynamic role that combines strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimisation to deliver industry-leading customer support. What does this role involve day to day?
- Manage a varied portfolio of suppliers across key commodity areas to support JCB’s global dealer and customer network.
- Source parts considering total cost of ownership, challenging suppliers on lead times, cost, quality, MOQs, and reliability.
- Respond to dealer enquiries quickly, providing quotations and ensuring parts availability.
- Drive cost-down initiatives through re-sourcing, localisation, rationalisation, and supplier negotiations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Inventory, Customer Service, Technical Service, and Global Warehousing.
- Operate effectively within SAP and other systems to manage purchasing processes.
This will be suited to you if...
- You have experience in purchasing or supply chain management, ideally with relevant accreditations.
- You are highly motivated, meticulous, and efficient with strong time management skills.
- You have experience in supplier negotiation and leading projects.
- You can communicate effectively with both upstream and downstream stakeholders.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a customer-focused mindset.
