Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Buyer in the Aftersales Parts Operations Department to join us at our site in Costessey, Norwich UK.
Summary
This role requires a well-rounded purchasing professional to work within the ASO procurement team. Working closely with the manufacturing plant and external suppliers, you will be part of a team purchasing parts to service our Worldwide Parts business.
What You'll Do
- Plan to meet our future demand.
- React to urgent requirements.
- Prepare and raise purchase orders.
- Purchase parts within the agreed cost quality and time targets, whilst maximising revenue.
- Understand market and customer trends.
- Support new programmes within the Aftersales department.
- Proactively resolve supplier issues to ensure a continued successful business relationship.
- Cross-functional collaboration with other department.
- Network with the wider organisation, to maximise group leverage possibilities.
What You'll Bring
- Excellent communicator, capable of establishing solid, professional relationships.
- Ability to formulate and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Experience within procurement and supply chain, preferably within Automotive / Manufacturing / Technology sectors.
- A strong rounded purchasing background.
- Fully conversant with MS Office software (e.g. complex Excel spreadsheets).
- Flexibility to work independently.
- The ability to resolve, cost, quantity, time and logistics issues.
- Innovative mindset, able to generate new ideas and translate them into tangible results.
- A flexible attitude, keen to develop new solutions.
- Strong team player, who recognises the importance of all functions in the business.
- Good interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence key stakeholders.
