We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.
This role will be within our
Distribution and connections team. As one of the largest Independent Connection Providers (ICP’s) in the UK, we support distribution network operations across infrastructure.
Our team installs and maintains distribution networks and ensures reliable connections for customers. Carrying out electrical planned work, customer connections and network reinforcement.

What you'll be doing?
As a Cable Jointer’s Mate, you’ll be working alongside experienced Cable Jointers on both high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) networks. You’ll get hands‑on with underground power cables, helping with jointing, terminations, fault repairs, and general installation work on our UK Power Networks contract. It’s also a great stepping‑stone role, with clear routes to progress into a Qualified Cable Jointer, Site Supervisor, or other technical roles across M Group Energy’s growing energy business.
