As the demand to deliver exceptional engineering design from our clients continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for a new management team member responsible for managing the CAD design team under the High Voltage discipline.

As our HV CAD Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our Transmission & Distribution projects. You’ll lead a team of CAD technicians, nurturing their development and ensuring design quality through inclusive leadership and thoughtful mentorship.

Key Deliverables

• Leading and supporting a team of CAD Technicians across the UK
• Encouraging a culture of quality, safety, and collaboration in design
• Providing guidance and mentorship to help team members grow professionally
• Working closely with other disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions
• Supporting recruitment and onboarding of new CAD team members
• Ensuring adherence to CAD and BIM standards with a focus on continuous improvement
• Taking ownership of project deliverables and contributing to a positive team environment

About You

• Track record of inclusive leadership and fostering a supportive team environment
• Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering (BEng preferred)
• Significant experience in CAD design within Transmission & Distribution
• Familiarity with software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and MicroStation
• Understanding of BIM standards and utility provider specifications
• Experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing others
